Meet Kelsey Beth

Kelsey Elizabeth Robb grew up in Peoria, Illinois. She has a bachelor’s degree in English focused on creative writing and a minor in studio arts from Bradley University. Even with those credentials, she didn’t begin to think of herself as an artist until much later. She wasn’t one of those people constantly drawing in a sketchbook. She was never covered in dabs of color. She “sucked at art,” as she would parrot over and over, digging into this false aspect of her identity.

Fast forward ten years and a whole spiritual awakening later. Now the only word she does use to describe herself is “artist.” KB is grateful to express her Spirit through her art business, Kelsey Beth Creates, which includes original acrylic paintings and commissions; live painting for wellness events, music festivals, private parties; and her Color Meditation workshop (click here for more details).

Her message is that everyone is an artist by nature, and that art and meditation together are powerful tools that we can all use to feel our best. She wants to brighten the lives of all she meets by sharing what she knows about art and spirituality, and being able to support that vision with her creations has been the greatest blessing.

Life is about gratefully finding peace among the chaos.

Kelsey Beth loves to spend time in nature. She believes the natural world is conscious and yearning to interact with us. Her spiritual journey has led her to this inner knowing that we are connected to everything around us and to each other in deep ways. The journey to self-awareness is hard and scary, but she’s so happy to be discovering herself, learning more about what she wants and does not want, and witnessing her reactions and emotions as they come up. She knows that everything that happens in her life is a direct reflection of her own energy, and that gives her so much power in how her life unfolds.

There are many tools she she uses to stay present in herself and in the moment. She practices a lot of yoga and is especially drawn to yin yoga right now. She meditates in silence as well as using guided meditations and going on silent walking meditations. Every day begins with a gratitude list and mystery— the mystery of the “generous present moment,” as Joe Dispenza has so lovingly named it. Sometimes she takes her dog, Achilles for walks in the morning, and sometimes at night. Sometimes she spends a week lost in a fantasy romance novel, and sometimes it’s a week of Jane Austin films. She loves to listen to music and practice poi, a type of flow-art-dance, and she adores going to concerts and music festivals.

Her journey has led her to truly believing in magic. She has the magic to create the life of her dreams, and that’s why she’s writing this now for the very professional website that houses all of these insane art pieces she’s created.

Before this, KB was an English teacher. She worked online teaching English as a foreign language for six years, and the reason for that is she didn’t believe she could make a life on her creative degree and her poetry. It has only been a year since she leapt into the still air of the unknown that housed her full-time art business. She wants to take a beat here to thank her family, especially her sister, Alexa, for believing in her and supporting her so fully. She couldn’t have done any of this without them.

Kelsey Beth Creates is a focal point of all creation from this individual expression of Spirit. She isn’t just a painter or a writer. She isn’t just a dancer or a flow artist. She isn’t just someone who works with her hands. She isn’t just a woman.

She is a creator, and what she is creating is magic.
